Modish Mitzi

My great Aunt Kathaleen Murphy Beard loved fashion. She herself was a smart-dressing vamp of the 20s; a bona-fide flapper. Luckily for me, she kept a large scrapbook that highlights various fashions from the 1920s. Simply titled "Scrapbook", Kathaleen has left a beautiful legacy of her time and provides a direct look into how women dressed and behaved in that bygone era. Below is a series of clippings from a fashion magazine that highlight various frock necklines, hemlines ("three of them are very short--which is entirely fashionable"), chemises, garters, and the smartness of lace.
